Deirdre Molloy is a digital media consultant to media brands, education and cultural sector clients.

She has worked as a web manager, digital editor and online communities manager across the corporate, nonprofit and startup industries.

Starting out as a qualified journalist published in titles such as The Observer, The Scotsman and .net magazine, her professional journey has seen her play key digital roles at landmark brands such as Ernst & Young, Express Newspapers and CIMA.

In turn, Deirdre has driven digital innovation initiatives at the University of Westminster and an array of startups and digital networks including NMK (New Media Knowledge) and Chinwag.

Her strategic web content and marketing skills have also inputted to a range of cultural enterprises from the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival to the Open Plaques community crowdsourcing platform.

In December 2014 Deirdre completed a part-time Masters in Digital Heritage at the University of Leicester where her research focused on the creation and impact of location-based apps and web services.
